Improving the Effectiveness of Local Health Funding by Working Collaboratively across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
The Pennsylvania Health Funders Collaborative (PHFC) strives to improve the effectiveness of health funders' initiatives by collaborating, networking, sharing best practices, and creating a unified voice among funders working in communities across Pennsylvania.
PHFC began in 2008 and is co-chaired by Karen Wolk Feinstein, PhD, President and CEO of the Jewish Healthcare Foundation, and by Russell Johnson, President and CEO of the HealthSpark Foundation.
As a network of 40 health foundations in Pennsylvania, PHFC holds quarterly webinars and annual meetings for health foundations in Pennsylvania and advances efforts to enhance vulnerable populations' access to high-quality, cost-effective health services.
In February 2017, PHFC released the "Impact to Pennsylvania of Repealing the Affordable Care Act" report
